Retro Tower Defense Codes (August 2026)
Every code below is checked against six independent lists: the community wiki's Codes page, the game's own Roblox description, Eurogamer, Pocket Tactics, PCGamesN and Beebom. A code only reaches the working table when at least two recent sources agree it still redeems.
Last checked: 2026-08-28 — 10 active codes.

Where the other code lists disagree
Six codes — TRAITS+SECRETS, MMMPIZZA, KAWAII, MOSSY, FRIDAY13TH and MARCH — are still listed as active by one outlet whose page was last touched on 19 August. Three more recent lists and the community wiki all mark them dead, so they sit in the expired table here. One code goes the other way: 1stBirthday is called new by three outlets updated on 27 August, while the community wiki marked it non-redeemable on 23 August. Because the sources genuinely conflict we have left it in the expired table rather than promise it works — it costs nothing to try, but do not count on it.
What to spend the Tix on
Ten codes is roughly 700 Tix plus a revive — enough to place a mid-tier tower but not to max one. Where it goes furthest:
- Jolly Elf is the cheapest damage in the game at 117 Tix per point of DPS. The full Tix-per-DPS ranking covers all 41 damage towers.
- Upgrades beat new placements early. Most towers spend over half their total on levels 4 and 5, so check the level table on the tower database before committing.
- Nothing at all, if you are below level 10 — get there and turn on modifiers, which are a permanent +75% if you stack the three biggest and can still clear.
Codes that grant luck spins rather than Tix are worth more than they look: the Heroic summon rate is 0.3%, tripling to 0.9% under a big luck boost — see how to get heroics. New to the game? Start with the beginner guide, or read how to redeem codes if the box is not where you expected it.
Code FAQ
How do I redeem codes in Retro Tower Defense?
Launch the game, click the Inventory button on the left of the screen, then the gift-box icon in the top right of the window that opens. Paste the code and press Redeem.
Why is a code not working?
Codes are case-sensitive, so 1X1X1X1 and c00l both need to be copied rather than retyped — tap any code above to copy it exactly. Beyond that, codes expire without warning: six codes that other sites still list as working are in the expired table below.
Where do new codes come from?
Three places, in this order of speed: the Retro TD Community Discord, the game's own Roblox description, and the developer's X account. NEW, FREETIX and RETRO are printed in the Roblox description itself, which is why they have outlived every event code.
