How to Redeem Codes in Retro Tower Defense

The steps

1. Launch Retro Tower Defense on Roblox.
2. Click the Inventory button on the left side of the screen.
3. In the window that opens, click the gift-box icon in the top right.
4. Paste your code into the text box.
5. Press Redeem.

That is the current location. If you have followed an older guide that told you to look in Settings or in the Shop menu, both of those have been described by different outlets at different times — the Inventory route is the one that matches the game as it stands.

Why a code failed

It is case-sensitive. This is the most common cause by a distance. 1X1X1X1 is not 1x1x1x1, and c00l uses zeroes rather than the letter o. Tap any code on the codes page to copy it exactly rather than retyping it.

It has expired. 35 codes in this game are dead, and several of them are still listed as working on sites that have not updated since 19 August. If a code you found in a video or an article fails, check it against our expired list before assuming you typed it wrong.

You already used it. Codes are once per account and the game does not always say so clearly.

It was never real. Code lists get padded. Every code on this site is checked against six independent sources, and one currently disputed code — 1stBirthday — is deliberately parked in the expired table because three outlets and the community wiki disagree about it.

The three codes that never die

Most codes in this game are event codes with a lifespan of about a week. Three are structurally different:

• NEW — 100 Tix
• FREETIX — 100 Tix
• RETRO — 50 Tix

These are printed in the game’s own Roblox description rather than announced on Discord, which is why they have outlived every event code the game has released. If you are on a fresh account, these three are 250 free Tix on the spot.

Where new codes actually come from

Three sources, in order of speed:

1. The Retro TD Community Discord (discord.gg/rtd, ~50,000 members). The community wiki credits this server as the origin of nearly every code the game has released, and codes appear there before anywhere else.
2. The Roblox game description — the three permanent codes above.
3. The developer’s X account.

Codes tend to arrive alongside updates and milestones rather than on a schedule. The Forsaken collab is live until 4 September, which historically is when event codes drop — worth checking the codes page before each session while it runs.

What codes are actually worth
