Retro Tower Defense Forsaken Collab: Chance, Maps and Tokens

What it is and when it ends

Retro Tower Defense is running a collaboration with Forsaken, another Roblox game, from 21 August to 4 September 2026. It brings four new maps, a batch of skins, a new currency and one new tower — and when it closes, the event-track items stop being obtainable.

That end date is the reason this page exists. Everything below is on a clock.

Chance, the new Void tower

Chance is a Void unit — the top rarity band — and it costs 5,000 Forsaken Tokens on the event track. It is a self-support tower: you pick from three cards, each granting a different buff.

The numbers put it near the top of the game. 200 DPS at level 5, second only to Gauntlet’s 266.67 across all 52 towers, at 1,650 Tix to place and 37,400 to max. That makes it the highest-damage tower in the game that is not behind an XP path — and the only route to it closes on 4 September.

Forsaken Tokens: where they actually come from

Tokens drop only from beating the four Forsaken maps. Nothing else in the game produces them. Those maps are:

MapStarsPathsNotes
Classic Battlegrounds1, longA scaled-down copy of the Forsaken map of the same name. Few cliff spots — don’t overload on cliff towers.
c00l carnival★★1, long
Pirate Bay★★★★2, mediumNear-identical to Forsaken’s own Pirate Bay. Sparse cliff spots.
Reborn Family Abode★★★★3, mediumThree paths, a central statue and a church.

The wiki’s own advice on picking between the two four-star maps is worth repeating: Pirate Bay over Reborn Family Abode for token grinding, because Pirate Bay has two paths to Reborn’s three at the same star rating. Fewer paths at equal difficulty means your board covers more of the map.

Tokens also drop in Endless mode, but only if you are playing Endless on a Forsaken map.

The efficient farm

If you want Chance before 4 September, the maths is straightforward:

  1. Farm Classic Battlegrounds first if you are still learning. One star, one path — the lowest-risk token source in the event.
  2. Move to Pirate Bay once your board is stable. Four stars pays more, and its two-path layout is the most forgiving of the high-star Forsaken maps.
  3. Stack bonus modifiers on whichever you pick. They multiply event progress the same way they multiply Tix — Triple Trouble alone is +30%, and stacking the enemy modifiers on a one-star map is close to free.
  4. Check the codes page before each session. Event codes drop mid-event and have historically included boost time and luck spins.

The skins

The collab added a batch of skins to the event track, including tasteless for Chance and Fat for 1x1x1x1, both credited to Forsaken contributors and developers. The skins page lists every Forsaken collab skin alongside the rest of the catalogue, sorted by whether they are still obtainable.

One thing worth being clear about: the wiki also lists a set of “achievement skins” under this collab which are rewards inside Forsaken, not Retro Tower Defense. If you are grinding RTD expecting those, you are grinding the wrong game.

After 4 September

Event-track items become unobtainable, which is what gives them value in trades. The four maps look set to stay — they are already listed in the main map roster rather than an event section — but Chance and the collab skins are the items to secure before the window shuts.
